Spooling
Spooling (Simultaneous Peripheral Operations On-line) is a technique used by computers to manage data temporarily stored in a buffer (like a holding area) before it is processed or printed. When you send a document to print, for example, the computer doesn’t send it directly to the printer immediately. Instead, it saves the print job in a spool file on the disk. This allows your computer to continue working without waiting for the printer to finish. The spool then feeds the data to the printer at its own pace, ensuring smooth and efficient throughput of multiple tasks.
