SpO2 (peripheral capillary oxygen saturation)

SpO2, or peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, measures the percentage of hemoglobin in your blood that is carrying oxygen. It provides an indication of how well your lungs are providing oxygen to your bloodstream. Typically, a normal SpO2 level ranges from 95% to 100%. A reading below this may suggest that your blood isn't carrying enough oxygen, which can be caused by respiratory or circulatory issues. SpO2 is usually measured non-invasively with a pulse oximeter, allowing quick assessment of your oxygen status, especially useful in medical settings or for monitoring respiratory health at home.
