Spirit Rover
Spirit Rover was a robotic spacecraft sent to explore Mars, part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover mission. Launched in 2003, it’s designed to analyze the planet’s surface, rocks, and soil, searching for signs of past water and conditions that could have supported life. Equipped with cameras, scientific instruments, and robotic tools, Spirit traveled across the Martian terrain, transmitting data back to Earth. It helped scientists understand Mars’ geological history and climate. Despite early technical challenges, Spirit provided valuable insights until it eventually became inactive in 2010, significantly advancing our knowledge of the Red Planet.
