Spica

Spica is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo and one of the most luminous stars visible from Earth. It is actually a binary star system, meaning two stars orbit each other closely. Spica's primary star is a massive, hot, blue giant that emits intense light and heat, while its companion is slightly smaller. Located about 250 light-years away, Spica shines brightly in the night sky due to its size and brightness. It has been important in navigation and astronomy for centuries and is easily spotted near the Arc in the constellation Virgo.
