SPECT
SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) is a medical imaging technique that creates detailed, 3D images of the inside of your body, especially your brain or heart. It involves injecting a tiny amount of a radioactive tracer that travels through your body and highlights areas of activity or blood flow. Special cameras detect the gamma rays emitted by the tracer, and a computer processes this data to produce clear images. SPECT helps doctors diagnose and monitor conditions like heart disease, brain disorders, and other health issues by showing how different parts of your body are functioning.
