Species Survival Commission
The Species Survival Commission (SSC) is a global network of experts working to protect endangered species and their habitats. Part of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the SSC conducts research, provides conservation advice, and promotes efforts to prevent species from becoming extinct. Its goal is to ensure the long-term survival of diverse flora and fauna by informing policies, supporting conservation projects, and raising awareness. In essence, the SSC is dedicated to maintaining healthy, balanced ecosystems by helping threatened species recover and thrive.
