spastic quadriplegia
Spastic quadriplegia is a form of cerebral palsy where muscle control is affected in all four limbs—arms and legs—as well as the face and neck. It results from brain damage that impacts the areas controlling muscle movement, leading to stiffness, increased muscle tone (spasticity), and difficulty with coordination and movement. Individuals may have challenges with walking, speaking, and performing daily activities. The severity varies, but there is no cure. Treatment focuses on managing symptoms through therapies, medications, and support to improve quality of life and functional abilities.
