SPARUL
SPARUL, which stands for SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language, is a standardized way to search and update data stored in the Resource Description Framework (RDF) format. Think of RDF as a way to organize information using triples (subject, predicate, object), similar to simple sentences. SPARUL enables users to write queries to retrieve specific information or modify data within these RDF stores. It is the predecessor of more recent standards like SPARQL 1.1 and is used in semantic web applications to manage complex linked data efficiently.
