Spark discharge
Spark discharge occurs when there’s a sudden, rapid transfer of electrical energy between two points with a significant voltage difference, such as in lightning or a static shock. It happens when the electric field becomes strong enough to ionize the surrounding air, creating a conductive path. This allows electricity to jump abruptly from one point to another, releasing energy as heat, light, and sound. Essentially, it’s nature’s way of quickly equalizing electrical charge differences, resulting in a visible flash or spark.
