Spanish Falange
The Spanish Falange was a far-right political movement founded in 1933 by José Antonio Primo de Rivera. It combined ultranationalism, authoritarianism, and fascist ideas, advocating for a strong centralized state, national unity, and traditional values. The Falange played a significant role during Spain’s Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), supporting General Francisco Franco’s rise to power. After the war, it became the official party of Franco’s regime, influencing government policies until the transition to democracy in the late 1970s. The Falange is associated with extreme nationalist and authoritarian ideologies, and its symbols and ideas are linked to Spain’s fascist history.
