Span (participation)

Span, or participation, refers to the proportion of eligible individuals or units actively involved in a specific activity or event, such as voting or attending a program. It measures how widespread engagement is within a group. For example, if 100 people are eligible to vote and 60 participate, the participation rate is 60%.
