Span (mathematics)

In mathematics, the span of a set of vectors is all the possible points you can reach by combining these vectors using addition and multiplication by numbers (scalars). Think of vectors as directions or arrows in space; the span includes every location you can get to by adding and scaling these arrows. For example, if you have two vectors in a plane that aren’t aligned, their span covers the entire plane. Essentially, the span shows the full "reachable space" determined by a given set of vectors.
