SPAdes

SPAdes (St. Petersburg genome assembler) is a computer program used to reconstruct the genetic sequence of an organism from many small DNA fragments. When scientists sequence DNA, they get numerous short snippets that need to be pieced together like a puzzle. SPAdes analyzes these snippets, finding overlaps and patterns to assemble a continuous, accurate representation of the original genome. It is especially useful for small genomes, such as bacteria, and can handle complex data, producing high-quality genome assemblies essential for research and medical studies.
