Space Walk
A space walk, officially known as an Extravehicular Activity (EVA), is when an astronaut exits the spacecraft to work outside in space. They wear a specialized suit that provides oxygen, temperature control, and protection from micrometeoroids and radiation. During a space walk, astronauts can repair equipment, install new instruments, or conduct scientific research. The suit is connected to the spacecraft with tethers to prevent drifting away. Space walks require careful planning and coordination, as they involve working in the vacuum of space, far from Earth's atmosphere.
