Space-VLBI

Space-VLBI (Space-based Very Long Baseline Interferometry) is a technique that uses telescopes in space, orbiting Earth, working together with ground-based telescopes to create extremely detailed images of cosmic objects. By combining signals from these widely separated antennas, astronomers can achieve a resolution much sharper than any single telescope could provide alone—similar to using a giant, space-sized telescope. This allows scientists to study phenomena like black holes and distant galaxies with greater clarity, helping us understand the universe's most energetic and mysterious processes.
