Space Shuttle Atlantis

Space Shuttle Atlantis is a retired NASA spacecraft that launched astronauts into space from 1985 to 2011. It’s designed to carry crew members and cargo to low Earth orbit, including space stations like the International Space Station. Atlantis features an orbiter with wings for re-entry, a large cargo bay for equipment, and rocket boosters for lift-off. Its reusable design allowed multiple missions, making it a key tool in space exploration, satellite deployment, and station assembly. After its final mission, Atlantis was turned into a museum exhibit near Kennedy Space Center in Florida, serving to educate the public about space travel.
