Space Archaeology

Space archaeology is the study of archaeological sites and artifacts related to human activity in outer space, such as abandoned satellites, spacecraft, rocket stages, and space stations. It aims to understand the history and impact of human exploration beyond Earth, preserving these remnants as cultural heritage. Using techniques similar to terrestrial archaeology, including remote sensing, imaging, and analysis of decay over time, space archaeology provides insights into our technological history, the environmental effects of space debris, and how we might interact with these artifacts in the future.
