Sows

A sow is a mature female pig that has reached breeding age and often has given birth to piglets. Sows are essential in pig farming because they reproduce, producing piglets that are raised for meat or other purposes. During pregnancy, which lasts about three months, three weeks, and three days, sows need proper care, nutrition, and environment to ensure healthy litters. After farrowing (giving birth), they care for their piglets until they are old enough to be weaned. Sows are vital to maintaining the sustainability of pig farming operations.
