Soviet partisans

Soviet partisans were members of underground military groups who conducted guerrilla warfare against occupying Nazi forces during World War II. Operating mainly behind enemy lines in territories invaded by Germany, they carried out sabotage, ambushes, and intelligence gathering to weaken the enemy’s control and support Soviet efforts. These partisans were often civilians—soldiers, farmers, or resistance fighters—who coordinated covert operations to disrupt supply lines and gather information, playing a key role in the broader Soviet resistance movement against the Axis powers.
