Southern Song Dynastic United Front
The Southern Song Dynastic United Front refers to the political and military alliance formed by the Song Dynasty (1127–1279) to defend against northern invasions, especially from the Jin and later Mongol forces. After losing northern China, the Song government focused on strengthening its southern territories through diplomatic and military cooperation among fragmented states and officials. This united effort aimed to consolidate resources, maintain stability, and resist external threats, ensuring the dynasty's survival despite facing constant pressure from invading powers.
