ASEAN, or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, is a regional organization established in 1967 to promote political stability, economic growth, and cultural development among its ten member countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
