Soundwaves

Soundwaves are vibrations that travel through a medium, such as air, water, or solids, as a series of pressure changes. When an object vibrates—like a guitar string or vocal cords—it disturbs the surrounding molecules, creating ripples of high and low pressure. These ripples move outward as wave patterns, reaching our ears. Our brain interprets these pressure variations as sounds, allowing us to perceive different pitches, volumes, and qualities. Essentially, soundwaves are the physical signals carriers of sound, transforming mechanical vibrations into auditory experiences.
