Sound wave

A sound wave is a vibration that travels through a medium like air, water, or solid materials. When an object vibrates, it causes nearby particles to move, creating alternating high-pressure (compression) and low-pressure (rarefaction) areas. These pressure changes propagate outward as a wave, carrying energy from the source to our ears. Our brains interpret these vibrations as sound, allowing us to recognize different pitches and volumes. Essentially, sound waves are just energy traveling through a medium via rhythmic particle movements, enabling us to perceive the world audibly.
