Sonogram
A sonogram, also known as an ultrasound image, is a diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. A device called a transducer sends sound waves into the body, which bounce off tissues, organs, or a developing fetus. These echoes are captured and converted into real-time images, helping healthcare providers assess health, monitor pregnancy progress, or diagnose conditions. Sonograms are non-invasive, painless, and safe, providing valuable visual information without exposing patients to radiation.
