Some Colors

Colors are perceptions created by our eyes detecting different wavelengths of light. Each color corresponds to a specific range of wavelengths; for example, red has longer wavelengths, while blue has shorter ones. When light hits an object, it can be absorbed or reflected. The reflected light determines a color’s appearance to us. For instance, a green object reflects green light and absorbs others. Colors can evoke emotions and convey information—reds often signal warmth or urgency, blues suggest calmness. In art and design, colors influence mood and perception, making understanding their nature helpful for communication and aesthetics.
