Solubility Limit
A solubility limit is the maximum amount of a substance (solute) that can dissolve in a solvent at a specific temperature and pressure. Beyond this point, additional solute does not dissolve and instead forms a separate phase or particles. It determines how much of a substance can be evenly mixed in a liquid or other medium, influencing everything from medicine formulations to industrial processes. Changes in temperature or pressure can alter the solubility limit, allowing more or less solute to dissolve.
