Solomon's Paradox

Solomon's Paradox refers to the tendency where people solve others' problems more wisely than their own. Named after King Solomon, known for his wise judgments, the paradox highlights how emotional involvement can hinder clear thinking about personal issues. When we're emotionally attached, our judgment may become clouded, leading to less effective decisions. Interestingly, individuals often think more rationally and objectively when helping others with similar problems, but struggle to do the same for themselves. Recognizing this bias can help us approach our personal dilemmas more thoughtfully, by gaining perspective similar to how we would when advising someone else.
