Solid rocket propellant
Solid rocket propellant is a type of fuel used to power rockets, consisting of a mixture of fuel and oxidizer combined into a solid form. When ignited, it ignites rapidly, releasing a large amount of hot gases and energy that generate thrust, propelling the rocket forward. Because it’s already in a solid state, it’s simple to handle, store, and ignite, making it reliable for space launches and military applications. However, once ignited, it cannot be turned off easily. Its high energy density allows for powerful and compact propulsion systems.
