Solid Body Electric Bass
A solid body electric bass is a stringed instrument designed to produce deep, low-frequency sounds. It features a sturdy, solid wooden or composite body with four or more metal strings stretched over a neck. When a player plucks or presses the strings, their vibrations are captured by pickups—electronic devices—that convert them into electrical signals. These signals can then be amplified and shaped through an amplifier and effects, allowing the bass to provide rhythmic foundation and depth within a musical ensemble. Its solid construction reduces feedback, making it reliable for various performance settings.
