Solid body
A solid body is an object with a fixed shape and volume, meaning its particles are closely packed together in a definite arrangement. Unlike liquids or gases, it doesn’t easily change form or flow. The particles vibrate in place but stay generally connected, giving the solid its rigidity. Examples include a brick, a metal rod, or a piece of wood. Solids maintain their shape unless acted upon by external forces, making them stable structures that retain form under normal conditions.
