Solar Ultraviolet Radiation

Solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a type of energy emitted by the sun that reaches Earth's surface. It is a part of sunlight that is invisible to the naked eye and is divided into three types: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA penetrates deeply into the skin and contributes to aging, while UVB affects the skin's surface and can cause sunburn and contribute to skin cancer. UVC is mostly absorbed by the atmosphere and does not reach the ground. Although moderate UV exposure is beneficial for vitamin D production, excessive exposure can damage skin and eyes, so protection is important.
