Solar Spectrum

The solar spectrum refers to the full range of electromagnetic energy emitted by the Sun, including visible light, ultraviolet (UV), and infrared (IR) rays. These different wavelengths carry various energies, enabling everything from our ability to see to the process of photosynthesis in plants. When sunlight reaches Earth, it’s spread out into this spectrum, which can be separated into its components using instruments like spectrometers. Understanding the solar spectrum helps us better grasp how sunlight interacts with our environment, influences climate, and can be harnessed for solar energy technologies.
