Solar Flare

A solar flare is a sudden, intense release of energy from the Sun's atmosphere, caused by magnetic field lines snapping or rearranging. This release emits a burst of radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum, including visible light, ultraviolet, and X-rays. Solar flares can affect Earth by disrupting radio communications, navigation systems, and power grids, and are often associated with sunspots and solar storms. They are part of the Sun's natural activity cycle and vary in size and impact, with the most powerful capable of causing temporary disturbances on Earth’s technological infrastructure.
