Soil-Lime

Soil-lime is a construction material made by mixing crushed limestone (lime) into soil to improve its strength and stability. The lime reacts with moisture in the soil, reducing its plasticity and increasing its ability to support weight without shifting or settling. This process enhances the soil’s load-bearing capacity, reduces its tendency to expand or contract with moisture changes, and minimizes erosion. Soil-lime is commonly used in road construction, foundations, and embankments to create a more durable and stable base, especially in areas with problematic soils like clay or silt.
