Software Defined Radio (SDR)

Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a technology that allows radio communication to be managed by software rather than hardware. In traditional radios, specific circuits are used for different frequencies and functions. SDR, however, uses a computer and software to perform these tasks, enabling it to easily switch between different frequencies and modes. This flexibility allows SDR to adapt to various communication standards, making it useful for everything from amateur radio to emergency services. Its programmability also means it can be updated or modified to improve performance or support new technologies as they emerge.
