Soft Tissue Sarcomas

Soft tissue sarcomas are a diverse group of cancers that develop in the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, and membranes surrounding joints. These tumors are different from more common cancers, like breast or lung cancer, which typically start in epithelial tissues. Soft tissue sarcomas can occur in any part of the body and may vary in type and aggressiveness. Symptoms often include noticeable lumps or swelling, but they can be hard to detect early.
