Soft Link

A soft link, also known as a symbolic link, is like a shortcut that points to another file or folder on your computer. Instead of containing the actual data, it contains a reference to the original item’s location. This allows you to access the target file or folder from a different place without duplicating the content. If the original is moved or deleted, the soft link usually breaks, meaning it no longer points to a valid location.
