Sociological Constructivism

Sociological constructivism is the idea that many aspects of our social world—like norms, roles, categories, and meanings—are created and maintained through collective human agreement and interactions. It suggests that these social realities are not inherent or natural but are constructed over time through shared understanding, language, and practices. This perspective emphasizes that our perceptions of reality are shaped by social processes, and that knowledge and social structures can change as society’s collective beliefs and behaviors evolve.
