Society of Black Academic Surgeons

The Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS) is a professional organization dedicated to supporting Black surgeons and advancing surgery through education, research, and leadership. It aims to increase opportunities for Black surgeons in academia, promote diversity within the surgical community, and improve patient care. SBAS provides networking, mentorship, and resources to help members succeed professionally. It also advocates for health equity and addresses disparities in healthcare, fostering a community committed to excellence in surgical practice and academic achievement.
