Socialization Agents

Socialization agents are people, groups, or institutions that influence how individuals learn the norms, values, behaviors, and roles of their society. They help shape a person's understanding of right and wrong, cultural traditions, and social skills. Key agents include family, which is often the first influence; schools, where formal learning occurs; peer groups, which affect social development; media, which provides information and cultural perspectives; and workplace or community organizations. Together, these agents guide individuals in integrating into society, helping them develop a sense of identity and social responsibility.
