Social Security Card

A Social Security Card is an official document issued by the U.S. government that displays your unique Social Security Number (SSN). The SSN is a nine-digit identifier used primarily for tracking earnings, administering benefits, and verifying identity for various financial and legal purposes. The card itself serves as proof of your SSN and is often required for employment, opening bank accounts, filing taxes, and accessing Social Security benefits. It does not, however, grant any rights or benefits on its own; its main function is to confirm your official identification number.
