Snowfall

Snowfall refers to the process where water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into ice crystals and falls to the ground as snow. This occurs when moist, cold air cools to below freezing temperatures, causing the ice crystals to form around tiny particles like dust. As these crystals collide and stick together, they create snowflakes. When the snowflakes become heavy enough, gravity pulls them down, resulting in snowfall. Snowfall is influenced by temperature, humidity, and atmospheric conditions, and it’s a key component of the climate in many regions, affecting ecosystems, transportation, and daily life.
