Snowball Edge is a portable, rugged data transfer device designed by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It helps organizations move large amounts of data to and from the cloud efficiently, especially in remote or challenging environments where internet speeds are limited. The device can also perform local data processing and storage, acting like a mini data center on wheels. Once the data is collected or processed, Snowball Edge securely ships back to AWS for easier cloud integration, reducing costs and time compared to traditional data transfer methods.
