Snaith RP

Snaith RP, or the Snaith–Hamilton Pleasure Scale (SHAPS), is a questionnaire used to measure a person's capacity to experience pleasure. It helps clinicians and researchers assess an individual's level of anhedonia, which is a reduced ability to enjoy things, often associated with depression or mood disorders. The scale includes questions about enjoyment of activities, food, social interactions, and hobbies. By scoring responses, professionals can better understand the extent of pleasure impairment, guiding treatment decisions and tracking progress over time. It is a standardized, reliable tool that focuses on subjective feelings of enjoyment.
