SMTP Relay

SMTP relay is a process used to send emails from one server to another before they reach the recipient’s email inbox. Think of it as passing a letter through a series of trusted postal offices to ensure it gets to the right address. An email client sends the message to its emailing server, which may then forward it through another server (the relay) until it reaches the recipient’s mail server. This system helps with efficient delivery, manages email traffic, and enhances email security by controlling and authenticating the relays involved in passing along messages.
