Smith's fracture

A Smith's fracture is a break in the radius bone of the forearm, near the wrist, caused by a fall onto the back of the hand with force. Unlike the common fracture where the bone bends inward, this fracture involves the bone bending outward at the wrist. It often results in visible deformity and pain, making wrist movement difficult. Proper treatment typically involves immobilization or, in some cases, surgery to realign the bone. Prompt medical attention is important to promote healing and restore wrist function.
