Small UAS Rule
The Small UAS Rule (Part 107) is a set of FAA regulations that govern the safe operation of small unmanned aircraft systems, or drones, weighing less than 55 pounds. It requires drone pilots to pass an exam, follow certain safety rules like flying below 400 feet and staying within visual line of sight, and avoid flying near people or aircraft. These rules help ensure the safe integration of drones into the national airspace, enabling their use for commercial, recreational, and other purposes while minimizing risks to people and aircraft.
