Small lymphocytic lymphoma

Small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) is a type of cancer that affects a group of white blood cells called lymphocytes, which are part of your immune system. In SLL, these lymphocytes grow abnormally and accumulate mainly in lymph nodes, causing swelling. It is closely related to chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), but while CLL is primarily found in the blood and bone marrow, SLL mainly involves the lymph nodes. The exact cause is unknown, but it tends to be slow-growing. Treatment options may include careful monitoring, chemotherapy, or targeted therapies to control the disease.
