Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)
Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) is a fast-growing type of lung cancer that starts in small cells in the lining of the lungs. It often spreads quickly to other parts of the body, making it more aggressive than other lung cancers. SCLC is commonly linked to smoking. Symptoms may include coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Treatment typically involves chemotherapy, radiation, and sometimes surgery. Because of its rapid growth and spread, early detection and treatment are crucial. Despite aggressive treatment, SCLC can be challenging to cure, but medical advances continue to improve management options.
