Slot Antennas

A slot antenna is a type of electronic antenna that consists of a narrow, rectangular opening (slot) cut into a metal surface. When electrical signals pass through a connected feed line, they create electromagnetic waves that radiate energy through the slot. Essentially, the slot acts as a source of radio waves, similar to a small echo chamber that sends out signals. Slot antennas are often used in radar, satellite communication, and other systems because they are compact, easy to manufacture, and can be designed to produce specific signal patterns.
